Regulation and Usage

Laws regarding foam blasters can vary based on your location, as regulations are often set by local, state, or national authorities. It’s important to be aware of and adhere to the laws and regulations in your specific area. Keep in mind that this article may not be up to date, and regulations may have changed since then. 

Public Use

  1. Using foam blasters in public spaces may be subject to local regulations. Be mindful of the environment and any rules that govern activities in public areas.
  2. Many regions require foam blasters to have orange tips to distinguish them from real firearms. Removing or painting over these tips may lead to legal consequences. 
  3. When transporting foam blasters, especially in public places, it’s important to be discreet and ensure they are stored safely to avoid any unnecessary concerns or misunderstandings.
  4. Check local laws and regulations that may impact the use of foam blasters. Some areas may have specific rules regarding toy blasters, especially in public spaces.

Games

  1. Some games may have age restrictions if you are under or older than a certain demographic for that specific hosted game. Always check the recommended age in each event\game hosted, and be sure to check for games dedicated to your age range.
  2. Be aware of school policies regarding the use of foam blasters. Some educational institutions have their own rules regarding foam blaster games on school grounds.  School clubs may already have permission to host their own games, so it's recommended you participate in them if they are available in your school.
  3. In some cases, organising foam blasting events in public spaces may require permits. Check with local authorities to understand any necessary permissions for organising foam battles in places such as public playgrounds or parks.

Modification

  1. Modify blasters at your own risk, upgrades to blasters may require some technical knowledge.
  2. Start with simple modifications to help you better understand these technicalities.
  3. Do test modifications\modified blasters in a controlled and safe environment to ensure they work as intended.
  4. Don't remove or disable any safety features on the blaster.
  5. Don't overpower the blaster. Modifications should be within safe FPS limits. (Below 300 FPS on average)
  6. Don't attempt modifications without understanding the potential risks and implications. You may get injured and potentially destroy your blaster.
